Seoul, Korea (December 11, 2007)
MDS Technology (www.mdstec.com), the Korean leader in embedded software, in cooperation with SCRAM Technologies, Inc. (www.scramtech.com), an advanced optical technologies provider in the U.S., has formed a strategic alliance to co-develop and market new era mobile projectors. Together, MDS and SCRAM plan to propel these ground-breaking technologies worldwide.
MDS and SCRAM expect to market these projectors as handset/PDA accessories as well as embedded into all mobile devices that include handsets and PDAs. Because the small screens in existing mobile devices can be frustrating to view, the ability to project large images will be a welcome solution to share, for example, the content camera phones store and receive. MDS and SCRAM are pleased to be able to focus on these projectors as the next generation of enterprise and consumer products.

Today’s announcement included a demonstration of the MDS-SCRAM micro projector that is capable of showing an image from 29 to 50 inches in diagonal and outperforming competing products in efficiency and image quality.
Mr. Hyunchi Kim, Pres/CEO of MDS Technology, stated, “As MDS advances to focus on next generation technologies, this project represents advanced emerging products that will secure our position in the mobile devices industry. After introducing this technology into the hand set market that we are very familiar with, we will move into other portable appliances as well as notebook PCs.”
